Activists might call this a victory, but no doubt this is bad news for more than a hundred miners.

A judge ruled in favor to stop the work at a mine in Logan County.

120 miners who showed up to work Monday morning at Camp Branch Mine were told to go home because of the ruling that came down over the weekend.

The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition filed the lawsuit against the Corps of Engineers and Judge Chuck Chambers ruled in their favor.

That means the miners aren't allowed to complete construction of the fills.

Massey Energy could request mining continues during an appeal process.
