MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University's Life Sciences building is closed for the rest of the day after a chemical spill in a lab Tuesday morning.

University spokeswoman Becky Lofstead says three employees were moving a fuming hood in a lab at about 9:30 this morning and accidentally spilled one or two liters of sulfuric acid.

Lofstead says the workers were taken to the hospital as a precaution but nobody was injured. No students or teachers were in the room when the spill occurred.

Lofstead says the building will remain closed during the cleanup but classes should resume tomorrow.
