HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police continue to search for the person responsible for a shooting in Huntington Sunday night.
Police tell WSAZ.com that the victim is Eddie Adams of Wayne County.
Dispatchers say Adams walked into St. Mary’s Medical Center around 9:30 p.m. needing medical attention.
Officers say Adams claims the man who shot him got away in a car, and was able to give them a description. He said the shooting happened in the 2500 block of 5th Avenue.
Police say Adams was shot in the chest. He was in critical condition as of Monday afternoon.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Huntington Police.

Huntington has become unbelievable. I tried to take my wife out to eat and people were knocking on the windows while I was at red lights. All the shootings happening one block from pullman. I think all the drug money confiscated should go straight to hiring more cops. In know way should anyone give change to alcoholics and drug addicts. Its like putting doughnuts by your trashcan out in the country.
Any info on the lady they found dumped on a rural Mason Co.Road or is thar ordeal over and done with, ?
Why is everyone complaining about the HPD? I do not live in Huntington but close. They risk there lives to arrest these idiots out there and they are out on the streets before the paper work is done.If you want to blame someone look at who you voted in as Judge and Magistrate. They are the ones who turn them loose so easy.As for MR. Adams being shot I know him and I am sure he was not just walking around innocent of nothing.I would bet he knows full well why he was shoot.
