HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Huntington police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a United Bank branch.
Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Breeding of South Point, Ohio, is charged with felony unarmed robbery, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and misdemeanor obstruction.
He was arrested Wednesday after he was spotted speeding.
According to the criminal complaint, the officers had to force him to the ground after he resisted being handcuffed.
Police confiscated about two-thousand dollars in cash, a knife and eight grams of suspected crack cocaine. The robbery occurred Tuesday morning. Witnesses said the suspect never brandished a gun but held one hand in a pocket as if he were armed.
An arrest warrant for Breeding was issued based on interviews, video surveillance and a statement from Breeding himself.
