CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina woman who disappeared on a Christmas shopping trip seven years ago will finally be laid to rest.
WMBF-TV reports the family of Alice Donovan will hold her funeral Saturday in Conway.
Donovan disappeared in November 2002 while shopping at a Wal-Mart in Conway. Her remains were found in January, but they were not identified until July.
Even before the body was found, Chad Fulks and Brandon Basham were convicted of kidnapping and killing the 44-year-old mother of two and sentenced to death. The men also pleaded guilty to killing 19-year-old Samantha Burns, a Marshall University student, after escaping from a Kentucky jail.
Donovan's daughter Angie Gilchrist says the funeral gives her some relief, but she won't be completely at peace until the men who killed her are executed.
Basham and Fulks are on death row. The body of Burns has never been found.
