UPDATE @ 4:00 P.M. Sunday
POCA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Hazmat crews in Putnam County say the barrel that was found near the Poca boat dock does not appear to be dangerous.

Officials on the scene say the barrel is an old acid drum that was mostly filled with water. The slightly acidic material left in it wasn't harmful.

However, the DEP did take the barrel away from the area.
