NAME RELEASED: Death Investigation Underway in Carter County
Kentucky State Police say Calvin Fannin,51, died of apparent gun shot wounds.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police have released the name of the person found dead in Carter County Monday.

Troopers say 51-year-old Calvin Fannin died of apparent gun shot wounds.

KSP is not releasing any other information at this time.

GRAYSON, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A person has been found dead at a home in Carter County.

Kentucky State Police say they went to a residence on KY 1 north of Grayson on Monday to conduct a welfare check when they found the person dead.

No other information is being released at this time, including the name of the victim.

Doug's funeral is Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, KY. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Olive Hill, KY.

Doug was my best friend and life will not be the same without him. I did not know his mother but I wish I had the chance to get to know her. He loved his mom and spoke of her often. He was a wonderful, good-hearted man that didn't deserve this. My prayers go out to the family, especially his mom.
