LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Tackling the obesity problem is no simple task, but now the push is on to stop the problem where it starts -- in childhood.

A new coalition of businesses and health-care advocates is making a push in Ohio for statewide standards designed to make Ohio students healthier.

The group has introduced a bill that would require Ohio schools to make changes including more physical activity time for students each day.

The bill could also require schools to offer healthier food and drink choices and even require body-mass-index screenings for students entering 3rd, 5th and 9th grades. The Healthy Kids, Healthy Choices bill is now being debated in the Ohio house and senate.
