CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The murder case against a woman accused of running over a man with her car after a fight over drugs hit a snag on Friday.
Mary Strojia was supposed to be in court Friday for a pretrial hearing, but that didn't happen.
During the hearing, lawyers asked the judge for a mental evaluation and said they also want to call an expert witness.
South Charleston Police say Strojia and Robert Richardson were arguing about drugs when she hit him with her van and drove off.
The alleged crime happened on Habitat Drive in May.
Strojia's trial was supposed to start next week, but the judge postponed it until January 11.

Do you people Not realize That the news and papers do not get to know these people! SHE IS NOT A MONSTER!!!Shes a Mother a Daughter and a Friend! This was a true accident! But the news and paper see it as "a Story" And Run with it! Until you walk in her shoes dont Pass judgement Thats what is wrong with society today they what to JUDGE and then they want to sentence people for life .When they should be helping the fight of the growing problems (DRUGS)That we face! This could be anyone of us! Not just to drug users! For me i would heve ran like hel* too! Just out of being Scared and Paniked!
If she needs a psychological evaluation, then why was she operating a motor vehicle to begin with? She even knew enough about her vehicle to end this person's life. She doesn't need evaluated rather prosecuted for what she knows what she has done.
That is what is wrong with this society, people know they can go kill someone, then plea insane, and all they get is a couple months to a year in a mental facility, and then they are released back to the streets. So theres no wonder why alot of people get killed, because the supposeably insane ones know how to work the system...I know what I am talking about, just to let you know, I work in a mental facility, and see it everyday come through them doors..
