One year ago a car crash on Route 60 in Cabell County took the lives of two teenage girls.

On Monday night -- family and friends gathered for a candlelight vigil at the scene of the accident where Tiffany Jackson and Samantha Chadwell died after their car hit a tree.

From memories on a tree to posters on the ground and a cross with Samantha and Tiffany’s pictures, the memorial on Route 60 is a reminder of two young lives lost.

Jordan Braley says, “What keeps me going is they’re in a better place….God needed angels.”

The girls’ mothers lit memorial candles and gave words of encouragement to their daughters’ friends. Mom Kristy Fetty says, “She was my strength….got me through tough times. I want her to be looking down and be proud.”
