The man police say is responsible for the death of a probation officer was scheduled to return to court this morning.
Joseph Harris is charged with involuntary manslaughter and obstruction after he sparked a chase that ended in the Ohio River. That's where probation officer David Poling drowned while chasing him. The incident happened last week
Today’s preliminary hearing was delayed so Harris’s attorney would have more time to prepare his case. The hearing scheduled for Gallipolis Municipal Court is reset for June 27th.
