WV State Senator John Unger plans to kick off his campaign for West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District seat Thursday at the state capitol. U.S. Representatives Nick Rahall and Alan Mollohan plan to attend Unger's announcement.

The Democrat from Berkley County is the latest politician to try to knock off Republican congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito. Capito, serving her fifth term in Washington D.C., has fended off challenges from Jim Humphreys, Erik Wells and Mike Callaghan in her last four races.

Unger's announcement is set for 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the state veteran's memorial.
