The global war on terrorism is pulling more resources from our regions.
This morning at Yeager Airport in Charleston a second wave of troops from the 130TH Airlift Wing were deployed to Afghanistan for active duty.

The unit's C-130 planes will be used to move military force and equipment. In all, 60 members of the guard are going on this mission.

Master Sgt. Scott Johnson was one of those heading out this morning. "You're away from your family so much that you're trying to make sure you take care of everything for them. It just gets harder knowing that you're going over and coming back, going over and coming back. It just gets hard."

The first set of troops from the 130TH left Saturday morning. The soldiers are expected to serve for about 45 days.
