GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A sales clerk used a computer to scare off an armed robber at the store where she worked.
The Gallipolis Police Department says the attempted armed robbery happened at the Mattress Warehouse in the Silver Bridge Plaza around 7:30 Tuesday night.
The clerk told officers that a man in his late 20s came into the store, pulled out a knife and demanded money.
Instead of giving him the cash, the clerk picked up a laptop computer off the counter and threw it at him.
The suspect then fled the store without any money.
The clerk then went next door and called police.

Do something to the people in power in this county who are having these drugs brought in and making money off them and you can stop this but that will never happen. The police are going their jobs, but this out of their hands.

This is getting stupid, seriously. I am a 17-year-old girl, who has been looking to get a job I have FRIENDS who have jobs around here. Both cashiers, now we're all scared out of our minds. I told my boyfriend not to take me to Dominos this weekend because I'm scared to go out. I don't even want to get a job now, for fear of getting robbed. I know a knife isn't much of a robbery weapon but who knows, this will probably get worse before it gets better.
