ST. ALBANS (WSAZ) -- For criminals, nothing is sacred.
A local church has been hit by burglars four times in the last year. This week was the latest.
Their online and TV ministry has been shut down because of the burglaries, and now members are wondering how much longer they can afford to go on. They say the people that depend on them cannot afford to let the bad guys win.
"It's extremely frustrating," Bishop Michael Martin said. "We're not a large church and we're not affiliated with a denomination that we can call up and say 'Hey, we got robbed.'"
Burglars have preyed on Living Water Ministries Church on Coal River Road now four times. Once, they drove the church van right off the lot.
The other three times, they made their way in and stole computers, audio equipment, instruments, cameras, editing software, production equipment -- even the kids' penny drive for toys.
Church members say they've gotten away with more than $10,000 worth of items.
They're hoping to find answers, and praying that those who keep coming here for the wrong reasons will eventually come for the right ones.
Bishop Martin says the church will replace the equipment piece by piece as they can afford it. Martin says he was looking at buying security cameras this week, but didn't make the purchase. Now that is something he says he'll have to do.

Sounds Fishy! That many robberies in the same place! To rob a church is wrong. With jobs being scarce and Christmas around the corner people most likely can't donate a lot. Maybe bigger churches can pull together and help a little! Wasn't a gun shop broke into several nights in a row in plain view of rt.60 & the entrance near the under pass and the alley way behind Tim Hortons coffee place in Saint Albans? Is Tim Hortons open all night? Remember reading about it and that was all, didn't hear anymore!
Kelly, God ordained secular government for judgement. His is spiritual. Your argument is specious.
If I catch em stealing from me God can have their soul, but their butt will be mine......
