Everywhere in the world you see runaways and everyone has their opinions on them. A sixteen year old is smarter then you can imagine. The sad fact is that kids see the world better then adults. The only reason that every child in america hasn't already bolted is because some have been able to grow up and see the world in the mediocre light that adults see. So if a child chooses to run away, I would help them, hide them from the fears of what the next day brings in their world. Every day is a new, depressing, sometimes even painful day in their lives. They need to open places where these children can dissapear, find jobs and live safely on their own. Trust me, they know what they are doing. The only problem is that so many adults don't care about them enough to ask why they run away.

First of all after reading these posts , I think that many of you should stop and take a remedial english course. Second of all, I would love to know what kind of parents you are. Diana Smith is lecturing everyone about the evils of these shelters and how they stole her daughter. It makes me wonder what kind of parent she is, seeing as how her child had been in the shelter system. Apparently child care is not the specialty of Diana Smith or her child would not have spent time in these facilities.
