New Mayor Looks to the Future

The new mayor, Ric Griffith is already talking about finishing projects in the works and starting others.

One of the major projects in Kenova is the installation of a new water system... it's almost complete. A sewer project will soon follow. Kenova's new mayor, Ric Griffith also wants to push tourism in Kenova.

It is the first city many people see traveling eastbound on I-64 in West Virginia. Mayor elect Griffith says the City of Kenova plans to buy a parcel of land and build a welcome visitor's center.

Griffith also says plans are in the works to transform old C-K High School into a community-senior center. Griffith will be sworn in as mayor July first.
