New Chemical Plant on Hold

The construction of a new chemical plant in Institute has been put on hold.

The Charleston Gazette is reporting the Esseco Group is blaming the increase of steel.

The Italian company was going to construct the plant on the Bayer CropScience Industrial Park.

It would have employed 20 to 30 people, and produced sulfur based materials for water treatment, wine making and industrial cleaning.
