After more than 30 years as South Charleston's mayor, Richie Robb is making plans to leave office.
Thursday night will be the mayor's last council meeting.
It's been a long run for Robb with many ups and downs, but he says he wouldn't trade it for anything.
During his time in office, he helped the city grow with the shops at Trace Fork, but he's also dealt with the stamping plant where hundreds lost their jobs last year.
Robb will also be remembered for some controversial moves, like the resolution condemning the Iraq war to suddenly switching political parties.
His last day as mayor is June 30th. Robb will be on vacation during the next council meeting so that's why the city plans to honor him Thursday night. The city council meeting starts at 7:30pm.
