Yeager Airport will get nearly 3 million dollars to extend its runway and finish other projects. The money comes from Congress. Yeager plans to use the grant to do an environmental assessment for obstruction removal, extend the runway and safety area and to upgrade the water system.

"Air travel is essential to the transportation network in our state, and Yeager Airport is a critical part of that network," WV Senator Robert Byrd said. "I hope that these funds will ensure the safety of those who use the airport and expand opportunities there for the long-term."

Logan County Airport will get a $150,000 grant for improvements.
The group will use that money to conduct a study for future needs and to improve the runway.
