BURLINGTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Twelve deserving kids from Lawrence County went on a shopping spree Monday with officers from the Ohio Highway Patrol.
It is the second year for the "Shop with a Cop" program, and the kids get to pick exactly what they want for Christmas.
"We talked with the local school systems about families having a hard time now," Ohio Highway Patrol Lt. Michael Gore said. "This year is different than last, and next year will be different than this year, so we cover all our area, which is Lawrence County."
The kids had about $170 to spend each on anything they wanted. The $2,300 was raised by the troopers and the Huntington Motorcycle Club.
