Part of the Ohio Governor's Residence has gone green.
First lady Frances Strickland has spruced up the foyer with a bright green paint, bringing color to what were plain white walls.
It's custom for each administration to add its own touches to the governor's mansion, such as the garden started by former first lady Hope Taft to represent all geographic areas in Ohio.
Records show Governor Strickland and his wife have spent about $60,000 on the residence so far for repairs, painting and to have bookshelves removed.
They moved into the 82 year old mansion in the Columbus suburb of Bexley in January.
