UPDATE: Police Identify Man Killed By Train

Sheriff's Deputies have released the name of the man killed in a train accident in Montgomery Monday afternoon.

The accident happened on the Fayette County side of Montgomery on Jackson Street.

Sheriff's Deputies say Steven D. Pauley was laying across the tracks and the train's conductor couldn't get it stopped in time.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why Pauley was on the tracks. His body has been sent to the State's Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Pauley was 40 years old and from Handley, West Virginia.
