CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Little Caesars Pizza Bowl is still about a week away, but some local people are already tailgating for the match-up between the Ohio Bobcats and the Thundering Herd.
The Little Caesars Love Kitchen made a visit to the Union Mission Crossroads Shelter in Charleston on Friday.
According to a news release, the pizza kitchen on wheels travels across the country to meet the needs of the hungry, the homeless and disaster survivors.
The kitchen also made a stop near Ohio University on Thursday and is expected to be in Huntington near Marshall University's campus Friday afternoon. The tour was planned to coincide with their football teams' appearance in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl next Saturday.
"We know that it’s important to reach out to the communities where we do business, and help make a difference,” said David Scrivano, president, Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc. “We are looking forward to the match-up between these two schools in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, and we are proud to work together with our local franchisees and company-owned stores to coordinate the vehicle, staff and food and to be there for people in the schools communities who need assistance."
This is the first year Little Caesars has been the title sposnor for the bowl game in Detroit Michigan. The game was previously called the Motor City Bowl.
