Mingo Science and Math Fair

Tornadoes and volcanoes were popping up all over one town in West Virginia.

The point of Mingo’s third grade math/science fair is to bring learning right to the hands of third graders. Some teachers said it is really important to get kids, especially girls, involved early.

While science was getting a lot of playtime, don’t forget math is important as well.

"It led us into a weather discussion and to calm them in the storm," Riverside elementary teacher Melissa Teeters said.
