Somebody is stealing motorcycles in our region and police need you help to catch the crooks.

The security camera at the Ashland Plaza Hotel parking lot caught a thief stealing a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Sgt. McDowell with Ashland police says four motorcycles have been stolen in just the last three months. Besides the bike parked at the hotel, others were nabbed in front of the Ashland town center, Ruby Tuesdays and the YMCA.

McDowell said there are two suspects in the Harley Davidson soft tail stolen at the plaza hotel. One suspect was a lookout, a white male, slim build, bald head, pencil line side burns, beard and moustache and tattoos on arms.

The man who drove off on the bike is a white male, heavy build, 6 ft. 2 in. to 6 ft. 4 in. with long sleeves and a ball cap.

Police said thieves could be targeting the bikes for better gas mileage or for parts, but you can protect your motorcycle from being taken so easily.

Police said they hope the public can help them solve this bold crime.

Police also said somebody stole a Harley Davidson motorcycle parked out front of Target the other day. No word yet if it's connected to the Ashland thefts.

There is a cash award for information that can help police catch the suspects.
