User Fee Could Double

Danny Jones was sworn into office, becoming the first two term mayor for the city of Charleston in 20 years.

One of the first things he did was propose raising the city user fee to $2 per week.

The fee has provided an extra $2.8-million for paving city roads and hiring more police officers.

Everyone who works in the city has had a dollar deducted from their paychecks since 2004.

If the vote were now, the day after the Mayor's speech, here's how City Council Members would vote.
