An eastern Kentucky woman with a history of neglecting her son has been convicted of manslaughter in connection with the four-year-old boy's drowning.
A Pike County jury on Monday found Rhonda Justice, 39, guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter in the July 2005 death of her son, Joshua Justice. Her sentencing was scheduled for August 31st.
Prosecutors say the boy drowned in a neighbor's swimming pool after roaming around his neighborhood for at least five hours.
Defense attorney Robbie Wright in his closing argument called his client a "young, naive, immature mother."
