Fire at Apartment Complex in Guyandotte

A fire ripped through an apartment building in Guyandotte on Monday evening. Now 8 people are homeless...some of them children. Witnesses to the fire said you could see the smoke for miles.

Fortunately everybody got out in time. One family lost a pet, but no human lives were lost. The families affected lost practically everything inside the building.

The Salvation Army is expected to help the victims if needed.

Still no word on how the fire started. The fire marshal is currently investigating.
