Point Pleasant is now one of the leading tourist spots along the entire Ohio River.
The river boat, The Queen, is just one of several boats that will take turns docking regularly throughout the summer. With each stop, come hundreds of visitors pouring into town, making this the second leading tourist stop for riverboats on the Ohio River.
The riverfront park, pavilion and dock are new additions that are translating into big attractions thanks to Charles Humphreys, Mason County's Economic Director.
Outside, walking tours and personal tours of the town are generating new fans.
Enjoying the attractions and Pt. Pleasant's quaint downtown atmosphere is one thing, but the money tourists are spending is what the efforts are all about.
The river museum is planning to expand later this summer adding a 2,000 gallon aquarium.
