If you're familiar with St. Albans there's likely one area you've wondered about.
The old main plaza is street with a lot of potential and a few unique businesses.
But there are also many empty store fronts and little parking, but city officials say that's something that's changing.
The city recently removed trees and grassy areas -- so that more parking will be available.
The mayor is hoping that plus major road renovations will attract more business along with shoppers.
St. Albans Mayor Dick Callaway, says “We are being very cognizant want to bring beautification to it too. The city has been able to get road walks in and we'll be working with groups in community to make it really attractive."
Concrete for the new road should be poured in early July. The mayor expects the entire project will be competed in the next couple of months.
