UPDATE: House Fire Kills Two People in Mingo County, Names Released

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Mingo County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the two people killed in a house fire Monday night.

Deputies say Ivan Gore, 77, of Dingess and Madeline Baisden, 79, of Dingess died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.



UPDATE: Tuesday, January 12
MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- According to the Mingo County Sheriff's Department, a brother and sister died in a house fire in the East Fork area on Monday night.

We're told the two victims were in their 70s.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.

No other details are being released at this time.

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people died Monday evening in a house fire in the East Fork area, dispatchers say.

They say the fire started around 6 p.m. along Twelve Pole Road. The two people were unable to get out of the home.

No one else was hurt in the fire. The state fire marshal's office and the Mingo County Sheriff's Department have been called in to investigate.

No other details were being released Monday night.
