Crash Injures Two

Two people were rushed to the hospital after a major accident early Monday morning.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on I-79 in Roane County, near the town of Amma.

Emergency dispatchers tell us that a helicopter tried to get to the scene to pick up the two seriously injured patients, but the helicopter was unable to land due to fog.

Those two patients were taken to CAMC General by ambulance instead.
