Break-In Suspect's Case Sent to the Grand Jury

The man accused of stealing from a home built to raise money for kids with cancer will stay behind bars, at least for now.

Monday a Putnam County Magistrate found probable cause to send Tex Shelton's case to the grand jury.

Police say Shelton went into the St. Jude's House in Putnam County and stole two plasma tvs, a digital camera, and some other electronics. The house was built to honor the life of Ben Bowen, a little boy who died of cancer two years ago.

Also, during his hearing Monday Shelton's attorney asked for a bond reduction, but that motion was denied.

Shelton told police he was high on prescription pills when he committed the crime.
