His site is to seek a positive future for West Virginia.
Jason Keeling, an area entrepreneur, waited for West Virginia’s Day to launch his new blog, www.abetterwestvirginia.com.
“As we know, our image is challenged at times, so this is a way of breaking down those barriers and showing what the real W.Va. is," Keeling said.
Keeling likes to call it a “forward-thinking fashion for a better West Virginia.”
His blog is built to explore state culture, the “new” economy, and government.
While Keeling said he doesn’t have a political agenda. He wants people to start thinking about how to make the state he loves even better.
“I envision this to be an online magazine, at most,” Keeling said, “If there is any commentary, it will be labeled as such, just like a newspaper would do."
It’s primarily a positive forum to honor West Virginia’s 144th birthday last week. Keeling launched the blog so fellow West Virginians could take part in constructive discussion.
"This is a way for West Virginians to rally around the positive things that are going on. For those outside the state to learn more about what's going on in West Virginia and the realities of West Virginia," Keeling said.
Realities, Keeling said, are real easy to find and encourages any response you may have at home.
