Public Water Needs

West Virginia American Water put up two water stations in northern Kanawha County to help families that don’t have public water.

One station is at 228 Frame Rd. at the Pauley Memorial Church. The other is at 5448 Sissonville Rd.

“The dry conditions the drought condition the dry weather not a lot of rain in the area,” Kim Corbin of West Virginia American Water, “A lot of wells were cistern to provide them water on a daily basis. Now they're without water, for the common things we do every day."

Each person is limited to 500 gallons of water a day. The stations will be up until the dry conditions improve.
