The dry season means John Jarrett's construction crews are moving full speed ahead.

"As long as it rains after dark, and stops raining after sunrise it's fine with us."

He knows this weather is tough for some people but it's weather he and several other building companies across our region are taking advantage of.

"We've been so busy it's been tough for us to take on new work and I think that this weather has helped that."

Plenty of water is on hand at his latest job site in South Charleston. It's an addition to a hotel in the South Ridge area.

"The dry weather adds to our bottom line and our clients bottom line. If I can open this hotel a week early, that is a week worth of reservations and income they will get. "
