SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Grocery shopping outside in 35 degree weather isn't the most ideal situation, but the circumstances behind what's brought people out today are far from ideal as well.
130 families in rural Scioto County are taking advantage of a new mobile food pantry that came to Franklin Furnace on Thursday.
The pantry is part of Lutheran Social Services based in central Ohio.
Manager Mark McPherson says the line is proof it's filling a need.
"Roughly 60 southern Ohio food pantries have closed in the last few years. People, here, need help," McPherson said.
