POCA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Seven people who work at the Rite-Aid Distribution Center in Poca will soon be out of a job.
Cheryl Slavinsky, company spokesperson, tells WSAZ.com the workers were notified early Monday morning that they would lose their jobs effective February 1.
It is Rite-Aid's goal to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs in this tough economic climate, Slavinsky said.
Slavinsky also says the company told these workers back in December that the layoffs would come sometime this year.
