LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- The time of year may hinder and help local and national authorities as they search for a 4-year-old Louisville boy who has been missing since Friday.

Cezar "Ivan" Aguilar-Cano was last seen that afternoon playing outside his family's apartment building, near Churchill Downs.

Louisville Metro Police Sergeant James Bland says that people being out for the Fourth of July, and doing different things than they would during a usual work week could help them notice something unusual.

However, like Ivan's parents, much of the population near Churchill Downs works in the horse racing industry and the fall meet ends Sunday. That will mean a turnover in population.

Bland says authorities are trying to get as much information from people in the neighborhood before that happens.
