Ripley's remembered for America's biggest small town 4th of July celebration.
"We've been coming here since I was 9 years old,” Celia Parrisch from Millwood said.
"Every year, I'm right here on the courthouse lawn," Susan Foster said.
David Albaugh drove up from Florida to join in on the fun.
"I can remember being a small child, coming to the 4th of July celebration here in Ripley. It's always one of the biggest events of the year,” Albaugh said.
It’s the one day it’s not crazy to sit on your rooftop and see a queen float down the street.
This is a celebration in its 175th year and counting.
The always popular Mountain State Art and Craft Fair begins Thursday at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center.
