Brother & Sister Sentenced to Prison; New Info Reveals One Victim Bought for Drugs

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A brother and sister facing unrelated charges learned their fate Monday in Kanawha County.

Trina Mallo was sentenced to one to five years in prison Monday morning on child neglect charges.

Last summer, Mallo was charged after police say they found her family living in a home on Frame Street that was filled with trash, roaches and feces.

Her parents, Carolyn and Alexander Mallo, were also living in the home and are also facing charges. Their trials are scheduled for March 29.

Trina's brother, Farris Mallo was also arrested last year on a sexual abuse charge.

Farris Mallo has since admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
According to court documents released Monday, Mallo told his probation officer he bought the victim from her parents for alcohol and drugs.

This crime happened back in 2005.

A judge sentenced Farris Mallo on Monday to 12 to 40 years in prison. Once he completes that sentence, he will serve 20 years on probation.

The four Mallos were charged last June after police searched their home after neighbors say a 14-year-old who lived in the house was charged with killing their elderly neighbor.
