After setting two straight records for attendance at Appalachian
Power Park in the East End of Charleston, average attendance is
down slightly so far this season.
After Wednesday's game against the Asheville Tourists, the average attendance is 38-hundred-and 17 through the first 38 games.
Last year, the Power averaged 39-hundred-and-98 fans for 64 home
In 2005, the average crowd numbered 35-hundred-and-32 for 66
But that inaugural season at the new ball park still broke a 14-year attendance record held by the Charleston Wheelers.
In 1991, the Wheelers drew more than 185-thousand fans to Watt Powell Park.
