Police are asking for the public's help to catch the man who robbed a video lottery parlor in Charleston this week. The entire incident was caught on tape.

It happened at about 12:20am Tuesday at the Mimi's at the Southridge Shopping Center.

Charleston Police detectives say the suspect entered the parlor carrying a large silver handgun, ordered everyone to the floor, and demanded that the clerk give him the money from the machines and the safe. Investigators say the suspect even took money from the customers who had left money at the machines.

Police say the suspect appeared to be talking on a cell phone via an earpiece during the robbery. Before leaving, they say he told everyone to stay down and threatened to come back and kill them if they did not.

Police describe the suspect as a black male wearing a beach hat and a long black trench coat with a shirt wrapped around his face.

Call the Charleston Police at (304) 348-6480 if you have any information about the robbery.
