INEZ, Ky.(WSAZ) -- Sheriff Deputies in Martin County, Kentucky raided a business near Inez Wednesday night, removing nearly a half dozen video poker machines.
Chief Deputy Bryan Tipton says the raid happened at the Wildcat Mart convenience store on Route 40.
Tipton says the machines are supposed to be for entertainment purposes only, but the owners were allegedly cashing out winnings. Signs inside the store even indicated that the payout was merchandise.
He also tells WSAZ.com that just over $4,400 in cash was taken into evidence.
No one was arrested during the raid, but investigators plan to present the case to a grand jury once the investigation is complete.

How is it that the cops can raid these establishments & take the machines as-well-as the money from the machines? If it is so wrong to have these machines, then why does each state one-by-one keep taking over machines (& then it is all of the sudden legal). It is ALL GAMBLING. And the last time I looked, no one was stopping people at the door & making them gamble. Are these business owners supposed to be frowned upon for trying to make a living? So let's look at the BIG picture here, If... the state of KY decides to take machines over & add it to part of the KY Lottery...then the state of KY can make all the profits & tell the media that it is for the children and Seniors..then everyone is supposed to be OK with Gambling. But since this has not happened yet, a community supposed to believe that the Wildcat Mart owners are bad people. Come on people, What is wrong with this picture? Who gave the orders? And who pocketed the money from the machines? Vote that politician out!!!!
Tipton and Todd wow i really feel protected........lol get a real job boys! I think even Andy Griffith had a better sidekick than Garmon does.......Miners Mart up Wolf Creek they payout also. Hmmm surprising to anyone...I know how you could make a quick 10 grand send this little video clip to worlds funniest videos......
And people wonder why Martin County is slammed in the dirt all the time.....I think they need to focus more of their time on drug dealers instead of all the petty things that they want a pat on the back for.....All I can say is Look up our redemption draweth nigh...This world will soon be over.....Then the final judge will have his say.....God BLess
