A couple from Dunbar is in jail, charged with growing and selling marijuana. Police arrested Trenia Odell-Gifford and Quinton Gifford early Friday morning.
According to the criminal complaint, Odell-Gifford sold a large ziplock bag full of marijuana to a police informant in the Kroger parking lot in Dunbar. The complaint says the Metro Drug Unit set up surveillance in the area during the transaction.
At the couple's home on Marks Road, police they say they also found twelve marijuana plants growing in the kitchen. That's where they picked up Quinton Gifford. The criminal complaint says Gifford agreed to allow officers to search his home after they conducted a "knock and talk."
Both suspects are being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
