The city of Huntington is set to barricade the portion of Harris Riverfront Park known as "Tent City' when the new week begins. ]

Groups that help the homeless are assisting with the transition but you can imagine, it's not an easy process.

Speddy lives in tent city, he says "I've lived out here for the last 11 years, served 31 years in the marine corp too I've got things to forget, I kind of want to be forgiven too. "

His friend Kevin Ashcraft says, " we're not homeless -- we've got a home it's just they'll soon be kicking us out and then we'll be homeless."

The Housing First team is offering help to the people who need it. The city says this clean-up will help homeless Huntington residents find stable housing. The city is also hoping the move will cut down on complaints about panhandlers along the Ohio River.
