If you heard wedding bells on Saturday, you're not the only one! Tens of thousands of people said their wedding vows on such a very special day… It was 07-07-07.
It's the walk every young girl dreams of making, and for one woman, the moment is now here. But unfortunately, luck is not helping her stomach.
Here's some food for thought… It's estimated that 64,000 people tied the knot on Saturday, but for the newlyweds, it's no longer about the numbers.
“Once you're getting married, it's all about what you're doing and the party that you're having,” said Toby Coleman, a groom. “And if someone is having one down the road, more power to them. I don't care.”
It's about finding your true love.
“I have been lucky enough to find a wonderful girl to spend the rest of my life with,” said Chris Reppert, a groom.
They are couples starting their life together on a date that comes only once a century.
“It's very surreal,” said Jennifer Coleman, a bride. “Everyone says it's a blur and it flies by, and it has, but it's good.”
The best thing about the day is it's husband proof.
“She wanted to make sure I remember our anniversary, so this will help me out,” said Coleman.
And if it doesn't, that's when he'll really need luck!
And in Huntington, wedding bells also rang for another cute couple!
Shane and Sara Thornton tied the knot on Saturday, and took some pictures at the fountain in Ritter Park. The bride told us this was the date she had to have, and it looks like she had luck on her side!
Wedding websites report that the next big date to get married is 06-07-08.
