PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More layoffs are coming to the Rite-Aid Distribution Center in Poca.

According to a company spokesperson, 19 on-call associates were notified on Monday they will be laid off effective Feb. 15.

This is the second round of layoffs at the Poca Distribution Center since the beginning of the year.

Cheryl Slavinsky tells WSAZ.com the layoffs are part of Rite-Aid's goal to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

The layoffs are not just affecting the distribution centers, but across the board.
