A CAMC security guard is charged with using a forged prescription to get pain-killing drugs from a Cross Lanes pharmacy.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says Billy Steven Casto, 27 of Sissonville, tried to pass the prescription at the Rite Aid in Cross Lanes at about 8:00am Sunday. They say he was wearing his work uniform at the time.

Deputies say he Casto obtained the prescription from an unknown person while on shift at CAMC (Charleston Area Medical Center) Women and Children's Hospital.

Casto was arrested and charged with forgery and uttering a counterfeit prescription.

According to deputies, Casto was also a fugitive from Ohio. He's wanted on stolen check charges there.

Charleston Police are investigating previous thefts of prescription pads from the same doctor.
